GFRP: Glass-Composite Construction
GFRP is glass-fibre-reinforced polymer, a family of complete composite constructions. Material reference.
Glass-Composite Construction
For a structural or insulating panel, define resin, reinforcement and orientation rather than selecting by a generic fiberglass label. A pultruded profile, moulded shell and laminated sheet need different manufacturing and property evidence. Compare the actual construction with the required load and environment.
Manufacturing and acceptance checks
Supply the construction or performance specification, thickness, load directions and joining details. Define moisture or electrical acceptance where relevant and inspect edges and drilled features. Request representative panel or component tests and document the resin, reinforcement and cure used to make the accepted sample.
