Fiberglass: Reinforcement Form and Resin
Fiberglass describes glass-fibre reinforcement in forms such as fabric, mat or roving; it does not specify a finished laminate. Material reference.
Reinforcement Form and Resin
Use this page to define reinforcement procurement, then use the GFRP guide for the cured composite. Compare the fibre and sizing with the selected resin and process. A woven reinforcement and a chopped mat should not be treated as interchangeable solely by mass per area.
Manufacturing and acceptance checks
Request fibre type, reinforcement construction, areal weight and resin compatibility information. Define the intended layup and production process. Approve a representative cured panel for the required function, with reinforcement identity and batch traceability retained alongside resin and cure records.
