Tough Resin: Loaded Prototypes and Formulation Choice
Tough resin describes several photopolymer formulations with different stiffness and deformation behaviour. Material reference.
Loaded Prototypes and Formulation Choice
For a clip or fixture, define whether it must spring back, resist impact or stay rigid under sustained load. These are different tests. Do not assume a resin marketed as ABS-like behaves like injection-moulded ABS in every environment or over the same service life.
Manufacturing and acceptance checks
Request the exact resin and revision, print orientation and post-cure procedure. Define deflection, load duration and pass criteria on the finished geometry. Test representative parts after the intended curing and exposure, and preserve those process conditions when comparing another tough-resin formulation.

Reference and scope
Formlabs: photopolymer material categories and processing resources provides material or specification background. The checks above are purchasing guidance; final acceptance values must come from the agreed grade, product specification and condition.
Send a drawing and material requirements for review. Include quantity, critical dimensions and the inspection evidence required with delivery.
