Flexible Resin: Soft Prototypes and Recovery
Flexible printing resin is a photopolymer formulation designed for a specified range of compliant behaviour. Material reference.
Soft Prototypes and Recovery
For a grip or soft prototype, compare hardness with geometry, recovery and repeated deformation. A similar Shore number does not make the part equivalent to a moulded silicone or TPU component. Specify whether the prototype is demonstrating touch, fit or actual sealing performance.
Manufacturing and acceptance checks
Request the exact resin, hardness test method and cure route. Define wall thickness, compression or bending travel and recovery time. Approve a fully processed sample, checking surface condition and repeated-use behaviour with the intended contact and cleaning conditions represented.

Reference and scope
Formlabs: photopolymer material categories and processing resources provides material or specification background. The checks above are purchasing guidance; final acceptance values must come from the agreed grade, product specification and condition.
Send a drawing and material requirements for review. Include quantity, critical dimensions and the inspection evidence required with delivery.
