T3 Copper: Grade Confirmation Before Substitution
T3 is a Chinese copper designation distinct from T1 and T2. Material reference.
Grade Confirmation Before Substitution
For a legacy drawing, confirm why T3 was specified before accepting a different copper offer. A replacement may be reasonable, but grade identity, conductivity, forming and joining requirements should be compared explicitly rather than inferred from a supplier's generic copper description.
Manufacturing and acceptance checks
Ask for the complete standard and lot certificate. Define the final use, product form, temper and contact or formed geometry. Where electrical performance matters, state the acceptance requirement directly. Record the approved replacement and its condition on the purchase order before the production stock is cut.

Reference and scope
SAMR: GB/T 5231 wrought copper and alloy designations provides material or specification background. The checks above are purchasing guidance; final acceptance values must come from the agreed grade, product specification and condition.
Send a drawing and material requirements for review. Include quantity, critical dimensions and the inspection evidence required with delivery.
