High-Performance Fibre Qualification

For a demanding composite component, establish what requirement the fibre change is intended to meet. A higher fibre strength does not by itself solve interlaminar, joint or impact limitations. Compare the complete laminate and manufacturing route against the existing qualified system.

Manufacturing and acceptance checks

Request exact fibre and resin products, construction, layup and cure. Define inspection for the finished laminate and joints and obtain test evidence for the relevant load directions. Record the qualification basis before approving a substitute, rather than choosing from fibre headline values alone.
