SUS302: Wire and Spring Specification
SUS302 is an austenitic stainless-steel designation. Material reference.
Wire and Spring Specification
For a wire spring, the wire specification, diameter and supplied condition matter alongside the alloy name. A sheet-property table is not a substitute for wire acceptance data. If SUS301 is proposed, compare the spring production route and final force requirement rather than only nominal chemistry.
Manufacturing and acceptance checks
Provide wire size, winding direction, end configuration and the required force at stated lengths. Agree any setting or stress-relief operation and when force is inspected. Request material traceability and identify whether corrosion exposure or cyclic service needs a component-level qualification.
