POM-C: Copolymer Acetal for Precision Parts
POM-C is acetal copolymer, distinct from POM-H homopolymer. Material reference.
Copolymer Acetal for Precision Parts
For a machined gear or fluid-contact part, compare the actual grade, stock dimensions and environment with a POM-H proposal. A short acetal callout should not conceal the polymer type or additives. Evaluate the finished geometry and service requirement rather than choosing only from a tensile-strength ranking.
Manufacturing and acceptance checks
Request the stock manufacturer's full grade and condition. Define gear backlash or fit at a stated temperature, plus any fluid and cleaning exposure. Inspect the finished part after machining and any agreed conditioning, and document the acceptance basis before approving a copolymer-to-homopolymer substitution.

Reference and scope
Ensinger: acetal homopolymer and copolymer provides material or specification background. The checks above are purchasing guidance; final acceptance values must come from the agreed grade, product specification and condition.
Send a drawing and material requirements for review. Include quantity, critical dimensions and the inspection evidence required with delivery.
