PA6: Stock Form and Conditioned Fits
PA6 is polyamide 6; cast and extruded stock are distinct supply routes. Material reference.
Stock Form and Conditioned Fits
For a machined wheel or bush, choose the stock form and grade before evaluating the fit. Do not use an unqualified nylon property table for a part that will operate in a different moisture condition from the inspection room. Compare PA66 and POM-C with the same dimensional assumptions.
Manufacturing and acceptance checks
Specify cast or extruded stock, exact grade and any additives. Define bore and outside dimensions at a stated conditioning and temperature. Ask how roughing and finishing will be scheduled and test a representative assembly in service-like conditions before accepting a very tight running clearance.
