Kevlar: Aramid Reinforcement and Part Testing
Kevlar is a branded aramid-fibre family, rather than a single finished composite specification. Material reference.
Aramid Reinforcement and Part Testing
For a reinforced panel or wear component, identify the exact fibre grade, fabric and matrix. Do not apply a fibre-strength comparison directly to a cured laminate, and do not infer a protective rating from the presence of Kevlar alone. The complete construction and test method determine the application evidence.
Manufacturing and acceptance checks
Request fibre and resin identity, layup, cure and edge or hole details. Define the actual load or protective-performance test required for the finished article. Approve representative construction-specific evidence and preserve the qualified material and process in subsequent production.
