For a drawn part, compare a proposed C26000 offer against the complete standards, supplied condition and forming requirement. A broadly similar nominal composition is not sufficient to approve a substitution. The inspection plan should represent the final geometry, not merely the starting strip.

Manufacturing and acceptance checks

Specify the grade and product standard, thickness tolerance, temper and rolling direction. Identify critical wall and flange dimensions and the final finish. Ask for a first-article forming report and retain traceability through any intermediate treatment and final trimming operation.
