H68 Brass: Drawn Components and Stock Control
H68 is a designation in the Chinese brass grading system. Material reference.
Drawn Components and Stock Control
For a drawn shell or formed cover, identify the drawing stages and acceptable wall thinning before comparing H68 with H65 or H70. A nominal composition label cannot predict the result of a specific die and starting temper.
Manufacturing and acceptance checks
State the applicable standard, sheet thickness, temper and surface requirement. Agree a forming trial and identify where wall thickness and dimensions will be measured. Request material traceability to the coil or sheet and document any intermediate annealing included in the accepted production route.
