Glass Filled Nylon: Fibre Content and Direction
Glass-filled nylon requires both the base polyamide and the reinforcement specification. Material reference.
Fibre Content and Direction
For a stiff housing or bracket, distinguish PA6 from PA66 and fibres from glass beads. An SLS bead-filled powder is not interchangeable with an injection-moulding compound. Evaluate the part geometry and load direction rather than assigning a single reinforced-nylon property to every direction.
Manufacturing and acceptance checks
Request the exact grade, filler content and process. Identify flow or stock orientation relative to critical features. Define conditioning, service load and assembly temperature, then approve dimensions and load response on representative parts. Review weld lines, drilled features and contact surfaces during the manufacturing assessment.

Reference and scope
Ensinger: polyamide material family provides material or specification background. The checks above are purchasing guidance; final acceptance values must come from the agreed grade, product specification and condition.
Send a drawing and material requirements for review. Include quantity, critical dimensions and the inspection evidence required with delivery.
