Glass Filled Nylon SLS: Beads Versus Fibres
Filled nylon powders for SLS can use glass beads; verify the exact reinforcement rather than assuming glass fibres. Material reference.
Beads Versus Fibres
For a stiff fixture, compare the specified filled powder with unfilled PA12 using the real load direction and permitted deflection. Do not substitute injection-moulded glass-fibre nylon data or assume that every filled powder has the same surface and impact response.
Manufacturing and acceptance checks
Request the exact powder grade, filler type, content and qualified process. Define orientation, conditioning and any post-processing. Approve dimensional and load tests on representative finished parts, and record whether the result concerns stiffness, impact, wear or another explicitly stated function.

Reference and scope
EOS: polymer powder types and system compatibility provides material or specification background. The checks above are purchasing guidance; final acceptance values must come from the agreed grade, product specification and condition.
Send a drawing and material requirements for review. Include quantity, critical dimensions and the inspection evidence required with delivery.
