Flame Retardant ABS: Grade and Thickness Evidence
Flame-retardant ABS refers to specific formulations, not an automatic rating for all ABS parts. Material reference.
Grade and Thickness Evidence
For an electrical enclosure, identify the required fire-performance standard, wall thickness and colour before selecting resin. A material listing does not by itself certify the assembled product. Compare candidate grades using the exact evidence required by the application.
Manufacturing and acceptance checks
Request the supplier's current grade documentation and applicable listing for the proposed thickness and colour. Define the finished wall and manufacturing process, including any regrind restriction. Keep resin identity traceable through production and submit the completed enclosure to the required product-level assessment.
