Delrin 500: Flow Grade and Manufacturing Route
The Delrin 500 family contains acetal homopolymer grades with different flow behaviour from the 100 series. Material reference.
Flow Grade and Manufacturing Route
For a moulded part, compare filling and part performance using the exact grade suffix, rather than assuming that all 500-series products have the same additives. For a machined part, confirm the commercial stock-shape designation and its relationship to the specified resin.
Manufacturing and acceptance checks
Include the full grade, colour and process in the RFQ. Define the critical fit, contact surface or moving feature and the required service test. Ask the supplier to document any material change and approve the finished first article rather than accepting a generic acetal material statement.
