Copper PCB: Clarifying Copper Core or Heavy Copper
Copper PCB is ambiguous: it may mean a copper-backed substrate or a conventional board with heavy circuit copper. Material reference.
Clarifying Copper Core or Heavy Copper
Resolve that distinction before requesting a thermal quotation. A copper core addresses a different stackup from thicker traces, and both require an insulation and heat-path review. Do not compare options using bulk copper conductivity without the complete board construction.
Manufacturing and acceptance checks
Identify whether the requirement is core metal, conductor thickness or both. Specify dielectric, stackup, isolation and thermal interfaces. Define current and temperature acceptance under a stated test setup and have the fabricator approve the construction before layout or material procurement.

Reference and scope
Henkel: insulated metal substrates in thermal assemblies provides material or specification background. The checks above are purchasing guidance; final acceptance values must come from the agreed grade, product specification and condition.
Send a drawing and material requirements for review. Include quantity, critical dimensions and the inspection evidence required with delivery.
