Clear PC: Optical Surfaces and Assembly Stress
Clear PC is a transparency-focused polycarbonate selection, not a separate universal resin specification. Material reference.
Optical Surfaces and Assembly Stress
For a window or cover, define the viewing requirement, surface finish and mechanical attachment. A transparent raw sheet can still produce an unacceptable part after machining, forming or coating. Compare with PMMA using the actual impact, optical and cleaning needs.
Manufacturing and acceptance checks
Specify grade, thickness, tint, haze or transmission requirements where needed and the surfaces that must remain optical. Identify drilled holes, screw preload and cleaning fluids. Approve the completed sample after any forming, edge finishing and coating, with the intended mounting method represented in the evaluation.
