Aluminum 3003: Formed Panels and Joining
3003 is a manganese-alloyed aluminium grade. Material reference.
Formed Panels and Joining
For a formed panel, separate the need for a bendable delivery temper from the final stiffness of the assembly. Compare with 1050 for forming-led work and 5052 when the design calls for a different alloy family. Do not use an unspecified strength figure to decide bend radii.
Manufacturing and acceptance checks
Provide sheet thickness, temper, rolling direction and joining details. Ask for a forming trial where the radius or appearance is critical. Define the final finish and cosmetic faces, and inspect flatness and hole alignment after forming and joining rather than only on the blank.

Hydro: aluminium extrusion alloy selection provides material or specification background. The checks above are purchasing guidance; final acceptance values must come from the agreed grade, product specification and condition.
Send a drawing and material requirements for review. Include quantity, critical dimensions and the inspection evidence required with delivery.
