Aluminum 1050: Formed Sheet and Conductive Parts
1050 is a commercially pure aluminium grade. Material reference.
Formed Sheet and Conductive Parts
For a formed cover or conductive component, decide whether formability, conductivity or strength controls the choice. Compare delivered tempers and actual product forms with 1060 instead of treating purity as the only purchasing criterion. A sheet specification should not be replaced with extrusion data.
Manufacturing and acceptance checks
Put the product standard, temper, thickness and bend geometry on the enquiry. For an electrical part, define the required conductivity and contact finish; for a cosmetic cover, approve a formed finish sample. Inspect dimensions after forming and any finishing operation that affects the fit.

Reference and scope
Hydro: aluminium extrusion alloy selection provides material or specification background. The checks above are purchasing guidance; final acceptance values must come from the agreed grade, product specification and condition.
Send a drawing and material requirements for review. Include quantity, critical dimensions and the inspection evidence required with delivery.
