Aluminum 1060: Purity and Application Requirements
1060 is a commercially pure aluminium designation. Material reference.
Purity and Application Requirements
When comparing it with 1050 for a conductive or formed component, ask what measurable requirement justifies the specific grade. Do not assume that a higher nominal purity automatically produces a better finished assembly; joints, thickness and the supplied temper also need review.
Manufacturing and acceptance checks
Specify the governing standard, temper and product form. Give contact-area geometry and an electrical acceptance requirement where relevant. Ask the supplier to identify the actual stock grade on the certificate, and approve any change against conductivity, forming and dimensional requirements before manufacture.
