For a chemical or electrical component, compare the exact unfilled or filled grade in the proposed stock or moulding form. The similar abbreviations PPS, PSU and PPSU do not describe interchangeable polymers. Define the controlling environment before selecting a higher-temperature family by name.

Specify the full grade, reinforcement and process. State load, temperature, fluid and electrical requirements separately. Ask for data applicable to the actual formulation and evaluate critical fits or joints on finished parts, including any conditioning or exposure required by the application.
