Titanium Grade 5 is the Ti-6Al-4V alloy. Material reference.
Ti-6Al-4V Machined Parts
For a weight-sensitive bracket, compare the complete load path and manufacturing route with commercially pure titanium or aluminium. A favourable strength-to-mass description does not establish fatigue life, deflection or the effect of a notch. Stock form and treatment must match the design data.
Manufacturing and acceptance checks
Specify the product standard, supplied and final conditions and grain direction where applicable. Define surface finish at fatigue-sensitive features and any inspection required after treatment. Compare Grade 23 only through the actual specification and application requirements, not by assuming it is a universal upgrade.
