Glass Filled PEEK: Reinforcement and Precision Geometry
Glass-filled PEEK combines PEEK with a specified glass reinforcement. Material reference.
Reinforcement and Precision Geometry
For a loaded insulating component, compare filler content and orientation with the unfilled alternative. A generic reinforced grade should not inherit unfilled PEEK's data or another manufacturer's rating. Review machining, contact surfaces and the direction of critical loads together.
Manufacturing and acceptance checks
Request the exact grade, filler percentage and stock production route. Identify orientation relative to holes, thin walls and bearing surfaces. Define dimensional acceptance at the service-relevant condition and agree a load or insulation test on representative finished parts rather than relying solely on moulded specimen data.
