Carbon Filled PEEK: Filler Identity and Electrical Behaviour
Carbon-filled PEEK may describe different fillers or blends; the exact compound must be identified. Material reference.
Filler Identity and Electrical Behaviour
For a wear or structural component, distinguish carbon fibre from graphite-containing bearing formulations. Do not assume that all carbon-filled PEEK is electrically insulating or that every black PEEK stock shape is equivalent. Compare the intended contact and load case, not only stiffness.
Manufacturing and acceptance checks
Specify the supplier grade, filler type and content, stock orientation and process. State electrical requirements explicitly where they matter. Define counterface, lubricant, temperature and wear acceptance for a sliding part, and evaluate the completed component with its actual mating surface.
