Flexible PCB: Film, Copper and Bend Life
Flexible PCB materials comprise a complete film, copper, adhesive and coverlay construction rather than a single flexible polymer. Material reference.
Film, Copper and Bend Life
Decide whether the circuit is bent only during installation or flexes repeatedly in service. That distinction changes the qualification question. Compare polyimide and polyester-based options using the actual assembly temperature, bend geometry and interconnect requirements.
Manufacturing and acceptance checks
Specify film and copper products, thicknesses, adhesive system and coverlay. Mark bend regions, radius and cycle requirements, plus stiffeners and connector interfaces. Ask the fabricator to approve the complete construction and validate bending and electrical continuity on representative finished circuits.
