C521 Bronze: Spring Force and Formed Geometry
C52100 is a phosphor-bronze alloy designation. Material reference.
Spring Force and Formed Geometry
For a demanding spring contact, compare the proposed strip and temper with C51000 using the actual deflection and bend geometry. Avoid choosing from a strength ranking that omits forming strain, plating or relaxation requirements in service.
Manufacturing and acceptance checks
Give the supplier the required force range, operating temperature and mating cycle. Define thickness tolerance, rolling direction and bend-edge acceptance. Qualify the completed contact with the selected finish and document any thermal exposure before testing so production parts are assessed in the same condition.
