C268 Brass: Sheet Brass and Grade Comparison
C26800 is a wrought brass designation in the UNS system. Material reference.
Sheet Brass and Grade Comparison
For a stamped part, compare C26800 with C26000 using the offered temper, thickness and bend geometry. Similar colour and a nearby grade number do not establish an acceptable substitute. Identify whether appearance, spring response or forming is the controlling requirement.
Manufacturing and acceptance checks
Request the complete grade and product standard. Include burr orientation, bend radius and surface finish in the drawing. Approve a formed sample and check springback and hole alignment in the final condition; keep the certificate linked to the actual coil or sheet used for production.
