PA12: Tubing, Stock and Process Identity
PA12 is polyamide 12; the finished form and formulation belong in the specification. Material reference.
Tubing, Stock and Process Identity
For a conventional tube or machined part, compare the actual supplied product with PA11 rather than borrowing properties from an SLS powder. A powder-bed printed PA12 component needs a different process and orientation qualification, covered in the separate printing guide.
Manufacturing and acceptance checks
Give the supplier the product form, dimensions, flexibility or load requirement and exposure conditions. Request the exact grade and conditioning details. For tubing, define bending and connection acceptance; for a machined fit, define dimensional checks on the finished part at the agreed temperature and moisture state.
