Nylon 3D Printing: Filament Versus Powder Nylon
Printed nylon can mean filament extrusion or powder-bed processing, using different polyamide grades. Material reference.
Filament Versus Powder Nylon
Choose the process before comparing properties. A carbon-filled nylon filament, an unfilled PA12 powder and a glass-bead-filled powder should not share one nylon-printing property table. Match the process to geometry, quantity and the required function.
Manufacturing and acceptance checks
Ask for polymer type, full material grade, printer and process parameters. Define orientation, conditioning, finishing and acceptance temperature. For loaded parts, request representative process-specific test evidence and inspect the actual component after post-processing; keep powder and filament comparisons clearly separated.

Reference and scope
EOS: polymer powder types and system compatibility provides material or specification background. The checks above are purchasing guidance; final acceptance values must come from the agreed grade, product specification and condition.
Send a drawing and material requirements for review. Include quantity, critical dimensions and the inspection evidence required with delivery.
